Lol Install munki and set these keys to true: AppleSoftwareUpdatesOnly InstallAppleSoftwareUpdates UnattendedAppleUpdates This will get some stuff installed silently while bothering peeps to install stuff more often than the app store. To ensure the install of security updates and such (which require a reboot) you'll need to 'touch' those machines somehow. Best Email Client For MacSchedule times to reboot and send software update commands followed by a shutdown -r now. Can you send scripts remotely to machines? I don't have this set up, but this is a thing: Unfortunately it's something you would need to figure out how to implement, and not a ready-made RMM patch management solution. Unfortunately, I don't know of anyone who has a good ready-made Mac patch management solution. I don't think Kaseya does, at least not the last time I did an evaluation. Supposedly LogicNOW purchased these guys with the intention of having real Mac RMM in their dashboard this year: I'm not a huge fan of LogicNOW, but at this point not having a real Mac RMM is a significant problem for us. New to this forum, and MAN I'm excited to peruse the boards. I've been retooling our onboarding and offboarding scripts for Mac, including installing/uninstalling ScreenConnect. That's all working well. However the last part of the Mac offboarding script that I cannot seem to get working involves removing the LabTech agent. What Is Labtech AgentThankfully with LT10's Mac agent, there is now a nice and easy uninstaller built-in (/usr/local/ltechagent/uninstaller.sh). Removing the LT agent, while logged into the Mac, is as easy as running this command: sudo /usr/local/ltechagent/uninstaller.sh However I need to be able to automate this rather than having to remotely connect to the Mac. When I do run the above command in an LT script (or directly in the CMD tab), it causes the agent to stop checking in and the LT files are not removed from the Mac. I'm pretty sure terminal commands sent through LT run as root, so I'm not looking for a permission issue. That said, I've tried playing with the uninstaller.sh permissions. If you already have the client, you can check for updates to ensure you have the latest version. In the beta client, click Microsoft Remote Desktop Beta at the top, and then click Check for updates. Add a Remote Desktop connection. To create a remote desktop connection: In the Connection Center, click +, and then click Desktop. In order to get started with Microsoft Remote Desktop, you must begin by downloading it from the Mac App Store. Click the blue 'App Store' icon in your dock. LogMeIn offers one of the best remote desktop software for Windows and Mac OS X for individuals and businesses. Even though the free version of LogMeIn was discontinued recently, that doesn’t keep it from being listed as one of the best teamviewer alternatives. I have been issued a Mac and not had to RDP via OSX much before. The Microsoft Remote Desktop app on OSX seems pretty limited, I can't seem to really organize the list of 80ish servers that I'll be adding other than dragging servers up and down a list. Best rdp client. I've also tried a few screen commands. I'm at a loss. I have a ticket open with LabTech support so we'll see what they say. If anyone has had experience with this, please let me know. I did give that a shot already. I created a second script that would call the uninstaller. Tried it a few ways. There's just something strange going on between LabTech and the Mac. Good news: I heard back from LabTech support. First they said 'sorry, currently there's no way to do that' and then yesterday this response came: - Push ScreenConnect to it: - Use the Commands feature of ScreenConnect to send the 'sh /usr/local/ltechagent/uninstaller.sh' - Remove the ScreenConnect client: It makes sense to use ScreenConnect to carry out the LT agent uninstaller.
